clean & comfortable house with a great host
☺ June was an amazing host, super friendly & welcoming – it was a pleasure to meet her.
the house was spacious and super clean. the beds were really comfortable and the outside space was lovely when the sun came out. wifi was good apart from in the kitchen and out the back of the house.
the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need and it was great having 2 bathrooms.

Really comfy beds and many bathroom facilities.
☺ The house was lovely. The owner was very helpful. It was difficult to take a walk from the property safely because of the kind of roads. Although you could drive to nice walks and there was a little track by the cottage for a very short walk.

The amazing Cloverhill Gate Lodge!
☺ We had a lovely stay at the Cloverhill Gate Lodge A gorgeous cottage with plenty of old style charm. Very clean, warm and beautifully decorated. June is the perfect host and was on hand with lots of tips on where to visit and the good restaurants

Step back in time
☺ Excellent host. We all felt so relaxed & at home the whole time. Its a wee old, traditional Irish cottage. Car is needed, but we knew that before we booked it. Would recommend.. Thoroughly enjoyed 1😀

Beautiful house
☺ Our family, 2 adults & 3 kids (9,7&5) arrived to such a lovely warm welcome from the host June. She was exceptionally welcoming and so lovely to talk to. We were not familiar with the area but June provided great information on local tourist attractions suitable for all ages and also options for eating locally if we didn’t want to cook along with contact details etc. The house is really lovely & comfortable and spotlessly clean and there is a lovely garden out the back. The weather wasn’t the best while we were there so didn’t get to enjoy the benefit of the garden much. I would highly recommend to others and hope to visit again in the future. Thank you for everything June
☹ Only minor issue was that It’s a little close to the road so can be a little noisy at night if you are a light sleeper like me but got used to it very quickly and the traffic wasn’t very busy.

We loved the gatehouse. June is a delight. The house is beautiful, cozy, and very quaint. We would love to return one day. County Cavan is so lovely with 365 lakes and lots of wonderful places to visit to experience Irish history.

We would highly recommend this gate lodge in Cloverhill. June is a super host. This was our second time staying at the gate lodge and we look forward to staying there again in the future. It is such a comfortable, cosy, stylish house, and very well equipped (including very good broadband).

We had a wonderful weekend at June’s house. This is a well restored old property and a pleasure to stay in. We have a family connection to the house and were so pleased to spend time there as a family. Douglas and June are perfect hosts – I hope to visit again and would definitely recommend it.
